Double and Joint Degree Programmes

International Masters in Economy, State and Society (IMESS) Programme

The IMESS programme is a two-year integrated Master programme in which all students spend one year at University College London (UCL) in London, where they develop expertise in the methodologies (econometrics), theories and applications of Economics and Business and have the opportunity to learn or improve a language. In the second year, the students study at Corvinus University of Budapest (or other partner universities) where they have the opportunity to choose from the following three tracks: Economics and Business, Politics and the International Economy, Politics and Security. Successful graduates will be given a double degree (UCL and CUB) and a diploma supplement issued by the IMESS consortium.

Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (Erasmus Mundus International Master)

This innovative international programme offers you the unique opportunity to undertake study (in English) and research in at least three different countries at our renowned partner institutions, culminating in the award of a multiple degree according to your chosen pathway.

if you are interested in the challenges faced by the states and societies of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Eurasia and their place within the new global order, this two-year programme is for you.

Opportunities for placements at external organisations are included under each pathway.

The programme is delivered by leading experts in their specialist areas of research.

Language tuition is available throughout the progamme.

Joint European Master Programme in Comparative Local Development

The focus of the programme falls on local development, specifically: considering public, private and non-governmental actors as fundamental agents of change; questions related to social stability and economic prosperity, in conformity with the European standards and best practice. The general approach is comparative and interdisciplinary.

As a multidisciplinary programme CoDe brings together scholars and participants from various fields. Partners of the programme believe that the multifaceted challenges of local development necessitate a comprehensive approach and accordingly, involve scholars and experts from the fields of Economics, Social Sciences and Law as well as from other disciplines relevant to local development (e.g., environmental engineering). The programme bridges universities, local authorities, firms and other organizations all over the world with its extended partnership.

Central-East European Economies Programme

Double degree IE&B (Central-East European Economies) specialisation in cooperation with the University of Groninen, Netherlands. Students spend two semesters in Budapest and two semesters in Groningen. Students of International Economy and Business (in English or in Hungarian) can apply for this programme during their first year of studies at CUB.

A new dual degree collaboration agreement between Corvinus University of Budapest and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) provides you with an excellent opportunity to study in Nottingham for the whole of your second year of study and to obtain a BA degree from NTU in addition to the degree you will earn at Corvinus.

For the 2016/2017 academic year, for students of the following programmes:

  • BA in Communication and Media Science (either in Hungarian or English),
  • BA in International Relations (either in Hungarian or English).
