Invitation to the Donauforum 2014 – conference for companies and universities in the Danube region| 2014.06.17.

We cordially invite you to the 5th BAYHOST Donauforum on 18th and 19th of September 2014 at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) in Germany. The topic of this year’s forum is international dual studying.

With our forum, we would like to contribute to the European Union Strategy for the Danube region by fostering international cooperation of companies and universities in the Danube countries.

Dual study programs – the combination of academic studies and vocational education /practical training – have been a success story for the last years. Presently, around 6.000 students in Bavaria are enrolled in a dual study course. The Donauforum, organized by hochschule dual, BAYHOST and Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt deals with the issue of how to provide dual study programs with an international perspective based on university partnerships and international activities of companies especially in the Danube region. The focus will be put on mathematics, science and engineering.

A contact fair with exhibition stands of employers and institutes of higher education takes place in the afternoon of September 18th. For participants from universities, the forum serves as an opportunity to find new partner companies and universities for establishing dual study courses and to exchange experiences. Furthermore, they can give a presentation in the plenary session or in one of the four workshops dedicated to specific countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia). The participation is free of charge.

We kindly ask you to forward this invitation also to students or any other interested partners within your network. Your participation as a visitor or exhibitor will be highly appreciated.
